The Peak

Graphic design and news layouts done for SFU's student newspaper

Details
Over the course of my undergrad at SFU, I have designed, illustrated, and written for The Peak, SFU's independent student publications society. At the beginning of 2019, I was hired as the Production and Design Editor.
During my time there, I led a team of designers in laying out the paper, took charge of art direction, optimized workflow within the office, communicated with illustration contributors as well as the printers, and designed standardized information guides.

New Design for COVID-19 Online Format
With our paper moving online due to COVID-19, I made the decision to alter our paper format to better suit Issuu, the online platform in which we were publishing on. This special format will be implemented only for vol.165 of The Peak, and any subsequent volumes will follow standard print format.
Vol.165, Issue 5: Black Lives Matter Informational Layout
Vol. 165, Issue 9: Dating During COVID-19
